Autumn Immune Booster Smoothie with Turmeric/Curcumin

The arrival of Autumn is also often accompanied by sniffles or flu symptoms as our immune systems adjust to the seasonal change.

This anti-inflammatory smoothie loaded with immunity boosting nutrients from carrot, ginger and turmeric/curcumin plus our gut friendly FUEL product will help reduce inflammation, contribute to better gut health, support healthy joints, eyes, skin, hair, heart, mood and more with this tasty smoothie recipe!

Ingredients:

Chop the carrots into 1-inch pieces, so they blend easier. In a  blender add the frozen or fresh fruit (pineapple and banana) and vegetable (carrot) with ½ cup of orange juice as the liquid. You may need more liquid depending on the blender, up to ¼ cup more.

Add ¼ teaspoon of our 3xR CURCUMIN SUPER BLEND POWDER, ½ inch of fresh ginger, and a pinch of black pepper. Blend on high speed until smooth, and serve the smoothie right away.

Smoothie Supplements

Feel free to add 1-2 tablespoons of any of these supplements and anti inflammatory foods:

  • Hemp seeds
  • Chia seeds – an excellent source of monounsaturated fats and to help fight inflammation.
  • A few spinach leaves
  • Flaxseed
  • Almonds or almond butter
  • 1-2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar – it’s fantastic for a “pop of flavor”.

Curcumin (the active ingredient in Turmeric) has a long history of use in traditional medicine with potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, as well as possibly slowing the aging process. Turmeric/curcumin also helps treat cysts. We have cysts and tumors growing in our bodies all the time as they are caused by inflammation. Depending on what tissue in the body is effected, turmeric/curcumin can help to treat them.
