Iced Golden Turmeric Latte

Golden Turmeric Latte – Summer

(For menopause-friendly self-care)

The milk base and spices (ginger, cinnamon) create a soothing ritual — helpful when sleep or comfort are challenged.

Using plant-based milk and avoiding heavy dairy or overly rich additives keeps it lighter (which many women prefer during perimenopause/menopause).

The addition of turmeric in the form ofTurmeric / Curcumin Capsules 2Go (with active curcumin) may help support how you feel during hormonal transition and reduce inflamation.

Serves: 1
Prep: ~5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 300 mL (about 1¼ cups) plant-based milk (e.g., almond, oat, coconut) or a mix of dairy & water if preferred

  • 1 capsule (contents) of Factor 8 Joint Ease

  • A pinch of freshly ground black pepper (Factor 8 already contains pepper however you may choose to add more to spice up the mix a bit)

  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon – for warmth and gentle support

  • ¼ tsp ground ginger or a small slice of fresh ginger – to soothe digestion

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

  • 1–3 tsp raw honey, maple syrup or brown rice syrup to taste

Method:

  1. Warm the milk (or milk + water mix) gently on the stove — heat until hot but not boiling.

  2. Whisk in the turmeric, black pepper, cinnamon, ginger, vanilla (if using) and sweetener until everything is well-blended.

  3. Remove from heat and drink warm or place in the fridge or freezer until cold.

  4. If cold pour over ice to serve.

  5. Sip slowly, ideally in the evening or when you’re settling in for calm.

Why this works for menopause-friendly self-care

  • Turmeric (and its active compound curcumin) is noted for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, which may help support how you feel during hormonal transition.

  • The milk base and spices (ginger, cinnamon) create a soothing ritual — helpful when sleep or comfort are challenged.

  • Using plant-based milk and avoiding heavy dairy or overly rich additives keeps it lighter (which many women prefer during perimenopause/menopause).

  • The black pepper is a little hack to improve turmeric absorption.

Optional tweaks & variations

  • Try adding a heaped teaspoon of nut butter (almond or cashew) for extra creaminess + healthy fat — supporting absorption and satiety.

  • Chill it: After mixing, pour over ice instead of heating for a refreshing warm-weather version (as some sources suggest).

  • If you’re avoiding sweeteners, leave out honey/syrup; you can add a tiny bit of maple for sweetness or skip altogether.

  • Pair with a light snack of whole-grain toast + avocado or nut butter for a balanced mini-meal.
